The Sr. Project Manager plays a major role in the development of new business systems including defining system requirements and identifying business needs including direct responsibility for leadership of strategic initiatives. This position guides development of Supply Chain business processes and technology deployment and supports business analytics across the broad informational requirements of the Global Supply Chain organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive improved performance as related to the customer experience (CAS).
  • Prepare broad project plans and direct end-to-end development of business requirements and guide the day-to-day operations of a project and analysis team.
  • Lead and manage supplier integration projects in order to drive shipped lines visibility on the web.
  • Play a major role in the development of new business systems including defining system requirements by identifying business needs. With specific responsibility for application design, development, testing, and roll-out activities.
  • Guide the design of data driven metrics and exception management processes and implement associated standard operating procedures (SOP’s) that take Supply Chain performance to the next level.
  • Evaluate current business processes, systems, and work flows to recommend improvements through enabling technology.
  • Function as the liaison between the supply chain team and the IT department with responsibility for clearly delivering business requirements through successful implementation.
  • Work closely with the IT department relative to any software or system changes affecting department.
  • ERP/MRP – work cross-functionally with operations, sales, marketing, and finance to improve overall demand and supply plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience with supply chain, information technology, business analytics or related and 2 years functioning in a leadership role.
  • BS Degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, MIS, Industrial Engineering or Business Logistics (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) and a high school diploma or GED.
  • Information technology expertise in the areas of supply chain decision support (Demand Planning, Forecasting, Inventory Planning, and Supply Network Planning).
  • Proven project management and change management skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills and experience with report writing including Oracle Discoverer.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CIRM, CSCP).
  • Ability to understand needs and constraints of all systems areas of the business and translate those needs to their relevance to the distribution center operation.
  • Ability to understand current activities, applies creative solutions to current problems, and measures their impact in the context of our overall strategy.
  • Must possess the interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization and work effectively with others in the management team, to resolve interdepartmental issues.
  • A critical thinker with a proven track record of conducting fast-paced, high quality analysis that delivers accurate answers to complex business problems in the areas of logistics, transportation, distribution operations, inventory and replenishment planning.
  • Must have strong communication skills in order to properly understand business requirements and translate them into effective analytical, reporting and application tools to optimize customer service, cost, quality, delivery and inventory while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain team.
  • Possess a keen ability to translate general business requirements into a technology solution with capability to guide through to implementation.
  • Must be a strong leader with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and effectively delegate in a complex fast pace environment.
