Position Summary:
We are searching for a talented Mechanical Engineer to lead cross-functional product development teams from concept to productions:


  • Lead cross-functional product development teams from concept to production
  • Establish design architectures that are easy to use, simple to produce, and practical to maintain
  • Develop product requirements and translate them to system requirements with subsystem and part level design specifications
  • Support production and a Quality Management System by driving DFM fundamentals and adhering to ISO 9001 models and standards
  • Rigorously document theory of operation, system architecture and assembly processes to support future design and manufacturing efforts
  • Lead product safety certification process “UL”
  • Support an integrated engineering community by participating in concept and design reviews both within and outside of your discipline
  • Contribute to the ECR/ECO process
  • Maintain awareness of current technology and trends within the industry
  • Support new product innovation and advancement of IP
  • Provide guidance and support to junior R&D team members and interns

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of engineering work experience
  • Experience in leading and driving the product development process
  • Experience mentoring and advising other mechanical engineers in areas of expertise
  • Ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight
  • Must be able to effectively communicate design goals and product specification to management
  • Strong proficiency with SolidWorks
  • Strong general computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience working with optics and opto-mechanical designs
