We are looking for a sales specialist with a background in Science to support our Analytical Instrument Sales. In this position you will be responsible for maximizing sales via strategic business development, sales management and pipeline health for the products within the Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry portfolio (GC, LC, IC, Trace Elemental, LCMS, Inorganic MS, Discrete Analysis, Lab Automation & Molecular Spectroscopy) in a given territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Territory Management:
- Manage territory to achieve quarterly / annual AOP and portfolio targets
- Work with Product Specialist teams to manage opportunities and sales
- Knowledge of market dynamics and share
- Maintain customer database and knowledge
- Pipeline development utilising marketing and regular face to face meetings
- Attend conferences and trade shows where relevant
Key Account Management
- Develop strategic relationships with key customers
- Develop & execute territory plan for account penetration
- Develop a sound understanding of customer’s technical requirements; and provide professional and technically competent product solutions to best suit client needs
- Leverage customer relationship for share of wallet
- Periodic account reviews
Reporting
- Weekly/fortnightly/monthly forecast
- SFDC compliance
- Creation and execution of personal development plan
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in a scientific discipline
- Comprehensive knowledge of the theory and applications of Chromatography techniques is preferred together with practical experience in a laboratory environment.
- Understanding of Trace Elemental, Inorganic MS, Gas Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, Discrete Analysis & Molecular Spectroscopy instruments and applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
