Job Description
Are you passionate about transforming marketing and sales analytics with data science and automation to drive revenue growth, market share gain and productivity?

Thermo Fisher is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead, develop and deploy the analytics application of data science for marketing analysts and sales operation. The Senior Marketing Data Science Analyst will be responsible for developing and deploying the reporting, optimization, and data mining application for marketing and commercial analytics usage that can be leveraged across the company.

Working with cross functional IT/marketing/sales teams, the ideal candidate will be obsessive about driving actionable insights from our vast customer customer transaction and behavioral data, possess strong business acumen, combined with a marketing analytics or sales operations background, and excellent project management skills.

Job Description:
  • Leads a cross functional team of marketing and sales operation analysts to define and develop an enterprise wide, scalable reporting and analytics package for data science related marketing and sales activities.
  • Owns the data science analytics strategy and roadmap
  • Working with IT, data scientists, and business stakeholders to identify appropriate metrics, data sources, and analytics visualization requirements for play optimization
  • Develops strategies and requirements to leverage data science and automation to advance and optimize marketing and sales analytics (eg customer journey analytics, multi-touch attribution, funnel forecasting)
  • Own the design, maintenance and delivery of corporate data science investment impact with demonstrated revenue and profitability gain
  • Responsible for the enhancing, scaling, optimizing and adoption of data science analytics capabilities across Thermo Fisher Scientific business divisions
  • Champions data science application for marketing and sales analytics; provides training to business marketing and sales analysts across the company
  • Interacts with Director/VP Leadership; manages by influence, engages with cross-functional teams; evangelist for transforming the way we work and continuous improvement
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred
  • Proven track record of applying advanced data analytics to deliver actionable insights for marketing/sales teams
  • Have good business acumen coupled with strong analytic thinking and experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related experience (advanced/predictive data analytics, digital marketing/sales analytics, data science)
  • Experience using SQL/SAS/Python/R for ETL, data modeling, optimization and reporting visualization
  • Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail in execution
  • Excellent project management skills including the ability to formulate and drive detailed plans
  • Able to build relationships with key individuals necessary for collaboration. Experience of working within, influencing within, and networking within a matrix environment.
  • Develop and present communications, frequently to senior leadership, communicating the desired message, at the appropriate level, for the right recipient
