Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler – Fixed Term Contract
Reports To: Manufacturing Planning Manager
Group/Division: Genetic Science Division/GSD Operations
Career Band: 4
Job Track: Professional
Position Location: Warrington

Key Responsibilities
  • Globally plan materials under your control
  • Take ownership of all production plan and stock levels
  • Complete control of supply chain of all products
  • Liaise with 3rd parties from a purchasing perspective
  • Minimise inventory and scrap whilst maximising product availability
  • Forecasting, production planning, capacity planning, inventory balancing, reorder point planning, inventory positioning, product allocation and product availability
  • Provide relevant information concerning the movement of items to internal and external customers
  • Be involved with or lead PPI activities
  • Member of the team tier 2
  • Ensure data accuracy within all planning systems

People Specification
  • Degree or equivalent in Business/Purchasing/Science subjects or related subjects OR a proven track record and developed knowledge in industry will be considered as a suitable alternative
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational, communication (written and oral) and organisational skills
  • SAP experience essential
  • A 'Get-up and Go' attitude to completing and ensuring the completion of all tasks on time
  • Experience of continuous improvement techniques or PPI
