We are looking for a
Director Business Development
Region: Hennigsdorf/ Berlin

In this key role you contribute to the strategic planning of the company in its M&A, OEM, licensing and partnering dimensions. The position reports directly to the General Manager.

Your key responsibilities:

• Contracting / Negotiation of business development opportunities (OEM, out-Licensing, in-Licensing).
• Evaluation of technology or commercial partnerships.
• Identification of M&A opportunities.
• Applying expert knowledge in using market research and competitive intelligence to derive business case inputs.

Your qualifications:

• Higher education in Life Sciences or Medicine with MD, MSc or PhD or relevant higher education in business / MBA.
• Sound experience in Business Development or Commercial roles involving large negotiations in a B to B technology environment.
• Knowledge of the IVD industry, Medical Devices, or Pharma / Biotech companies is clearly a plus but not a must.
• Proven track record in technology, product and market assessment and diligence for partnering, licensing and M&A opportunities.
• Strong analytical skills; able to structure and rationalize complex decisions paired with the ability to deal with uncertainty and incomplete information.
• Leadership skills in a matrix organization; proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Finance, business, IP and legal knowledge.
• Excellent customer focus and communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective internal and external partnerships.
• English fluent (both written and spoken), German beneficial.
