Job Description
Position Summary:

Responsible for turnover and bookings of Thermo Fisher Scientific Microanalysis (EDS/WDS/EBSD) systems in EMEA & India, including Legacy FEI Aftermarket business (direct to customers) , but excluding business on new electron microscopes sold through legacy FEI.
This is done through direct customer sales, direct interaction with all electron microscopy channels (excluding legacy FEI) in EMEA & India.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Achieve the planned bookings target.
Collects, analyzes and interprets information about markets / customers.
Collects voice of customer data to be shared with product management teams to guide the direction of current and future microanalysis products
Assists in creating an accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly forecast Responsible for maintaining the implemented CRM system (Salesforce.com) and related processes
• Executes all
direct sales activities for Microanalysis in the (direct) Germany/Austria/Benelux region.
Maintains a good relationship with existing clients (including electron microscope (EM) vendors), finds and extends new customer and EM vendor relationships

Proactively extends the relationship with electron microscope (EM) Channels/Vendors throughout EMEA & India.
Supports the Distributor Manager with managing the distributor relationships. Undertakes distributor evaluation and selection when needed.
• Negotiates within guidelines on new or existing contracts.
• Follow developments in the market and makes proposals to respond to these.
• Assists in the planning and is responsible for the execution of marketing campaigns and provides input from local expertise for global marketing.
• Represents
Thermo Fisher Scientific in relevant interests and professional organizations / networks.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of customer satisfaction, maintains close connections with service, support and back office.

Extends technical knowledge through self-education.


Communication internal and external:

Internal
  • With direct manager about the progress of the work to inform and consult.
  • With sales teams, partially involved in Microanalysis, about the progress in their work to inform and consult.
  • With factory product management and application specialists to exchange knowledge and information.
  • With service department to inform and consult.
  • With marketing department about marketing campaigns to inform and consult.
  • With colleague Managers/Account managers (cross divisional) about customers, markets and competition to exchange knowledge and information.
External
  • With existing and potential customers (including electron microscope vendors) about Thermo Fisher Scientific products and services to inform, advise and negotiate.
  • With distributors about Thermo Fisher Scientific products and services to inform, advise and negotiate.
  • With local societies and magazines about potential collaboration and placement of articles to inform and negotiate.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

· Degree level qualification in a scientific discipline, preferably Physics
· A proven track record in achieving sales quotas and experience in use of time in Territory Management is a must.
· A working knowledge of electron microscopy and microanalysis (EDS/WDS/EBSD) knowledge is highly desirable
· Ability to grow the business by identifying new target accounts each year and be able to develop and execute territory plans.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

· Degree level qualification in a scientific discipline preferably Physics
· Sales Professional with a proven track record in achieving sales quotas and managing sales territory and product knowledge of electron microscopy and microanalysis.
· The ability to work on own initiative and to meet deadlines and targets.
· Must be highly sales driven and have the ability to work on their own and be creative in developing tactical sales plans and executing these in a timely fashion to deliver results.
· Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
· A good level of interpersonal, motivational and organizational skills
· Must reside within Germany
· Willingness to travel
· Valid German Driving license
· Experience of using sales database, Outlook and MS office Suite
