Job Title: Senior Total Rewards Analyst

Location: Netherlands Remote/Field , France Remote/Field

Summary:

The main focus in this role is to advise and support Human Resources (HR), management and employees with regards to Compensation & Benefits (C&B) policies, procedures, systems, conditions and instruments for Europe and Asia Pacific. This includes process delivery, data research and analysis, tools and compliance as well as client/vendor interaction. In close cooperation with the Rewards team this role will execute and develop a modern, equitable and competitive C&B practice within Thermo Fisher Scientific. This position requires to work with various levels, along with various cultures. At times, this role may be asked to assist with Global Mobility in the region. The role will initially have a strong focus towards the Pharma Services Group (PSG) business, but the role will expand across other Thermo Fisher Scientific business units over time.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for aligning and harmonizing the compensation and benefits programs and policies within Europe for PSG.

Analyzes Company’s market position on jobs and makes recommendations on market competitiveness.

Performs job analysis, reviews job descriptions, and ensures compliant and accurate job documentation is on file.

Provides management and HR team with compensation support/counsel and offers creative solutions to compensation-related issues. Researches and formulates recommendations on external and internal offer-making process, job leveling, and internal equity adjustments through the use of salary surveys and internal compensation tools.

Assist and advise HR regarding C&Bs information for the applicable works’ counsels and trade unions. Ensures compliance with Collective Labour Agreements (CLAs), laws and regulations which impact compensation plans and policies. Audits and analyzes internal compensation practices in relation to relevant regulations and CLAs. Forms recommendations for corrective actions as needed.

Make recommendations for benefit plan changes according to local benchmarks and the company policy while ensuring compliance with country legislation and resolve benefit cases quickly and efficiently, determining and proposing better ways to close cases.

Assist in drafting policies and programs related to compensation administration and benefit plan design.

Assist in the administration of the annual salary planning process and the global incentive plan process for Europe including market movement analysis, budgeting, forecasting, development and validation of tools, process execution and data integrity checks.

Participate in several projects affecting Total Rewards to deliver an expert contribution.

Creates and assist HR in the different countries with employee communications materials including, but not limited to memos, company announcements, and intranet materials reflecting the Company’s key messages as related to total rewards and compensation

Monitors pay package changes for International assignees and ensures effective communications with the Mobility team, and is responsible for the compensation process that include review compensation and benefit packages for Mobility that fits the specifications of the related policies

Education:

Requires a master degree in human resources, finance, business administration, or related field.

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in a C&B-role in an international environment. Strong knowledge of European compensation & benefits policies and practices is required. Data analysis experience. Mobility experiece is a plus in this role.

Equivalency:

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Competencies:

Requires a thorough knowledge of compensation and benefits. Has the ability to demonstrate strong, persuasive verbal and written communication skills. Ability to identify creative solutions and implement with minimal direction is required. Strong MS Office Suite skills including advanced Excel skills, working knowledge of Workday is a plus. Requires ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Fluent in English and other languages is a plus. Thinking and acting proactively with numerical and analytical skills. Has Project management skills.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pound pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
