Position Summary
To provide a professional and effective Warehouse and Support service to the Hemel Hempstead Site and to support the Warehouse and Facilities Manager’s in maintaining the site facilities and related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of the Warehouse and distribution function as required by the operation ensuring that incoming and outgoing shipments are processed and stored according to department procedures
  • Provide porterage services to the site by ensuring parcels, deliveries, fruit and milk are sorted and delivered to appropriate recipients/areas as per instructions provided
  • Use all company equipment appropriately when required or necessary to ensure safety of shipments
  • Utilise service of company approved couriers and carriers and monitor performance in order to ensure an optimum cost effective service
  • Receipt all goods including those returned from Customers and Field Staff
  • Maintain an accurate and tidy warehouse area
  • Appropriately handle and dispose of company waste according to department procedures
  • Process all incoming and outgoing mail for the site
  • Manage the Franking Machine appropriately ensuring appropriate funds available at all times and service & maintenance is secured in a timely manner
  • Provide Reception cover for the team as requested by Manager
  • Utilise SAP to raise purchase orders and receipt goods appropriately (full training provided on SAP)
  • Carry out such duties or projects as requested by the Facilities or Warehouse Managers upon request

Person Specification:
  • Experienced in Warehouse, inventory, stock control and purchasing roles
  • Commitment to providing an excellent level of customer service working with internal and external customers
  • A thorough approach and attention to detail
  • Experience in Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
  • SAP experience preferable but not essential as training will be provided
  • Can do Attitude
  • Ability to multi task, work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
  • Flexible and proactive
  • Self-Motivated
  • Numerate
