Position Summary:

The IT Business Analyst will be is responsible for managing the enhancement and support activities in SAP whilst partnering with the business, EAS and the wider Specialty Diagnostics Group to identify areas for business process change and improvements.
The incumbent is also responsible for the below activities:
  • Identifying, documenting, prioritising and designing solutions for business requirements
  • Resolving operational issues by delivering expert technical and application related advice
  • Providing consulting and problem solving skills, also delivering SAP training
  • Directing and participating in testing for projects, enhancements and for operational activities
  • Being the primary contact for all application and interface questions, issues, and errors
  • Ensuring all enhancements and changes follow agreed enterprise-wide template processes and requirements where applicable
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage enhancement and support activities across all functions and applications, deliver key system enhancements and upgrades primarily for the SAP R/3 SD / MM modules
  • Team with the MBD business users to identify areas for business process change and improvement
  • Work with the Enterprise Application Services team and the wider Speciality Diagnostics Group to deliver and manage change
  • Facilitate the translation of business requirements into functional system design
  • Resolve business design issues
  • Take ownership of business process model design activities
  • Identify, deliver and exploit opportunities out of existing investments
  • Providing expert technical and application advice
  • Track the realisation of business benefits from process related initiatives
  • Provide consulting and problem solving skills to continuously improve business processes
  • Gather information from both applications / systems in order to create functional specifications for future enhancements
  • Test new interfaces once development has been completed
  • Regression test full end-to-end processes
  • Take responsibility for ServiceNow Incident resolution for application-related functional issues
  • Primary contact for all application and interface questions, issues, and errors
  • Ensure all enhancements and changes follow agreed enterprise-wide template processes and requirements where applicable
  • Understand the impact of past initiatives and accurately predict the performance of future requirements
Minimum skills required:
  • Extensive experience in a SAP support or development role
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking
  • Good technical knowledge of SAP R/3 SD and MM
  • Experience of writing technical specifications
  • Good written communication skills
  • Influencing and skills in liaison
  • Able to work with other teams across geographical regions
  • Quick learner using new applications and functionalities
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills required to communicate and work with all levels of employees
Qualifications Required:
  • BSc / BA degree required or equivalent experience / technical training
  • SAP R/3 certifications / education a distinct advantage
