How will you make an impact?

This is a very exciting remote role with national coverage working for a company with a patient-focused mission. In this role you will have the ability to drive market advancement of autoimmune assays in the US, shape healthcare in our country through national adoption, and integration of Thermo Fisher’s assays (through clinical studies, research papers, and scientific congresses), and interface with key opinion leaders (KOL’s), and influencers within the entire immunodiagnostic specialty, ultimately changing the trajectory with new approaches to patients, and studies. The travel expectation is approximately 65%.

What will you do?
  • Initiate and drive KOL relationships to drive advocacy for the immunodiagnostic products.
  • Develop & execute a US clinical affairs plan for autoimmunity, aligned with the global strategic roadmap.
  • Initiate/execute symposiums, and encourage abstracts, at major national congresses, and establish & monitor KPIs to ensure efficacy in influencing targeted customer base.
  • Clinical scientific coverage of key medical/scientific congresses and cooperative group meetings as needed. Listen for, and interpret new clinical data and competitive intelligence, and report findings to clinical affairs and marketing stakeholders.
  • Identify and engage national groups working and support development & implementation of evidence-based clinical guidelines.
  • Partner with field sales, and sales management to provide peer-to-peer programming for targeted clinicians / KOLs, through programs and presentations that communicate the advantages of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s autoimmune diagnostic testing.
  • Interface with Evidence Generation team, and Marketing teams, to provide clinical expertise in message development, with the goal of incorporating immunodiagnostic products, and services into laboratories across the US, and the practice routine of health-care providers.
  • Participates in refining product messages and materials for sales presentations, as well as supporting segmentation, targeting, and positioning.
  • Partners with internal colleagues, and external stakeholders in health economic, and outcomes research evidence generation, including support for reimbursement, and guidelines development, and/or implementation.
  • Informs on developments in the clinical and market environment as related to overall company objectives.
How will you get here?
  • Have a clinical degree (MD, DO, Ph.D., NP, PA or equivalent advanced degree) however, experience and proven track record will be considered.
  • Clinical/medical/ laboratory background within life sciences, diagnostics, or medical device (rheumatology, immunology, gastroenterology or pathology is strongly desired)
  • Experience running clinical studies end-to-end
  • An active KOL network in autoimmunity
  • Work with investigator-sponsored studies and company-sponsored studies, as well as selection of and partnership with clinical research organization with in-depth knowledge of study design and performance monitoring, are all required.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize clinical and health economic data and influence strategy development.
