We are a research, development and production site in Bremen, currently with about 360 employees, whose “high -end” measurement and analysis instruments (mass spectrometers) are used in research and science worldwide. Our innovative products in the fields of Life Sciences MS and Inorganic MS as well as trace analysis are among the leading products globally in their respective markets.

For our location in Bremen we are looking for a

PPI Business System Manager (f/m)

Major Responsibilities:
  • Become proficient in the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System and become a certified Process Manager.
  • Lead/work with functional teams to streamline processes to improve the customer experience, enable profitable growth and become more efficient.
  • Facilitate kaizen events, teach PPI Business System tools, and coach and mentor their use with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Be a visible leader in changing the culture of the organization to one that supports continuous improvement, logical simplicity, and profitable growth
  • Diplomatically cultivate an action-biased culture of continuous improvement to improve KPIs, in the areas of customer, finance, people and quality.
  • Provide support to develop problem solving capability within the organization at all levels
  • Train, coach and follow-up with teams to ensure system improvements are sustained and the stakeholders are running the processes independently
  • Provide ongoing support to multiple teams
  • Help teams identify new projects through value stream mapping, data analysis and daily management systems. Coordinate the project funnel to keep an ongoing queue of projects to meet productivity goals.
  • Work with the expanded team to develop/promote/standardize the PPI Business System further.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  • Improvement methodologies with emphasis and a proven track record on implementation and results
  • Proficiency with common tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, Leader Standard Work, and Gemba Walks
  • A passion for leading improvement
  • Ability to lead a diverse staff and create a culture of continuous improvement
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and communications skills, particularly with presenting and training
  • 2-5 years of experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, operations or business or equivalent experience
