Supervisor, Manufacturing, FOWN
Responsible for multiple areas of production for the front of week day (FOWD) Coating, Printing and Inspection manufacturing teams. Leads, develops and supervises employees, ensuring proper training, GMP/SOP compliance and OTJ progression. Tracks and maintains KPIs for all of these areas, communicating performance to all levels of the organization.
Coordinates and excutes production schedule.
Leads by example relative to Safety, Quality, and Code of Conduct and holds employees accountable for adherence.
Facilitates and participates in continuous improvement projects that will improve overall production operations and leverage those across the organization to share best practices and lessons learned.
Tracks and maintains KPIs, communicating performance to all levels of the organization.
Participates in developing short and long-term goals for Production areas.
Tracks and reports current headcount levels, training progress and department flexibility.
Selects, develops and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Works with and advises staff on administrative policies and procedures.
Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
Manages the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results.
Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Science, Business or Management
4-6 years of production and leadership experience required; experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Competencies: Candidate should have the ability to quickly learn and apply GMP guidelines for manufacturing. Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to monitor product progression through the manufacturing processes. Must have strong, demonstrated leadership skills, effective verbal and written communication and ability to train and develop team members. Must be capable of making viable decisions and drive problem solving activities, escalating appropriately. Knowlege of control systems and Windows platform would be ideal. Must be able to work independently and self-initiate. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively to meet department and company objectives. Must be able to provide feedback to employees and as necessary, develop improvement plans to aid in their development. Must be able to coordinate and communicate cross-functionally to achieve business objectives.
Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs. Limited travel required. Overtime may be necessary.
