The Global Commercial Operations Group provides superior customer service to all internal and external customers by assuring clean sales and service order processing, tracking, and communications out to the account team and field service and Thermo Fisher customers as well as driving revenue execution and S&OP planning with the business units and operations teams in the factories. Success comes as a combination of outstanding communication, excellent knowledge of complex Thermo Fisher policies and procedures, and a general understanding of Thermo Fisher Scientific tools and product divisions.
The Commercial Operations Manager ensures superior customer service, maximization of revenue and profitability and minimization of inventory and risks by establishing goals and leading the team to successful achievement. The manager acts as liaison and partner to Sales and Service management, Business Unit leaders, Operations Managers and cross functional groups to develop mutually agreed targets, processes and goals; Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function, and continuously looks for optimization and efficiency in administrative processes.
- Manages the customer demand management team
- Responsible for working with the regions on slotting customer demand and aligning with S&OP plan
- Works with the business units on customer demand, revenue risks and execution, bookings and forecast alignment
- Can support and run bookings, revenue and customer demand management weekly meetings.
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral in English
- Global business experience and finance acumen a must
- Flexible schedule (meetings maybe early morning or evening to work with different regions)
- Travel expected at about 20%
