Job Description

The Project Manager manages the overall process and project-oriented duties related to the integration of an acquired entity into the company. This is a “hands on” position that requires strong analytical and project management skills to manage the full life cycle of a deal, until the final integration goal is met. We’re looking for someone with strong business acumen and awareness of key measures of business success as they relate to mergers, acquisitions, and the company’s strategic plan. This role is part of the HR productivity & Operations platform and is a shared service that supports all business entities globally for merger and acquisition initiatives. The Project Manager will work closely with the other HR Platforms/COEs, corporate development and business groups to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions deployed in support of business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership on assigned acquisition integration projects consisting of multiple sub-projects, and ensuring that these efforts are adhering to the established corporate policies and procedures
  • Responsible for managing the overall direction of integration projects ensuring they are completed according to schedules. Identify any risks or issues within the project, and ensure they are communicated, tracked, and/or mitigated where possible, while keeping the project on track
  • Responsible for managing the overall relationship with the customer/business, assisting in coordination and preparation of plans, requirements and specifications, as well as the financial aspects of the project(s); escalating issues and concerns to Executive Management as deemed necessary
  • Able to communicate and manage with all levels of the Enterprise – Individual Contributor to C-Suite Level
  • Manage the integration of all functional areas including but not limited to: HR, Benefits, Payroll, Legal, Finance, IT, Communications
  • Lead the detailed planning and management of the project through to project completion
  • Ensure project milestones and targets are met by actively managing project on a day to day basis through appropriate resource, issue, and risk management
  • Ensure appropriate tools and techniques are available and employed by the project team to enable them to meet their assigned objectives successfully
  • Deliver an assigned project to a successful conclusion (on time, on budget, and in scope)
  • Report to the Program Management function for the duration of the project
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in business administration, computer science, MIS, or a related field is required.
  • PMP certification or equivalent a plus
  • 4+ years of experience managing projects or related experience managing large, complex data sets or analytics; or driving large change management initiatives
  • Strong familiarity with project management standards and methodologies including PMI Body of Knowledge
  • Strong problem solving skills; Ability to quickly identify, weigh options and present best solutions for integration efforts
  • Proven ability to lead a matrixed team of professionals to complete projects on time
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent documentation skills are a must
  • Able to assume and complete assignments independently and demonstrate sound judgment under high stress, time critical deadlines
  • Ability to explain and champion technical concepts to a broad audience
  • Advanced knowledge in creating and maintaining management level and detailed project plans utilizing Microsoft products
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application,operational requirements and actionable next steps
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
