How will you make an Impact?

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner oversees Human Resources functions to support the business objectives of the assigned business unit(s) including our Commercial Manufacturing and Packaging Operations. The emphasis is on the leadership of forward thinking HR programs and processes that will improve performance, retention and satisfaction of the employees. Will develop long-range workforce planning and organization plans, allowing the company to meet both current and future business objectives and will provide advice to the organization on complex HR issues such as organization design and review, change management, strategic workforce planning, and day-to-day guidance and support to management regarding HR practices and policies.

What will you do?

  • Provide strategic and tactical HR direction to effectively partner with directors, managers and supervisors of assigned areas to enable business objectives.
  • Consult with leadership in areas such as organizational assessment, succession planning, organizational structure, and work force planning to strengthen organizational capability.
  • Drive the HR component of the business strategy through planning, developing, and implementing initiatives that increase the productivity, competence, and effectiveness of assigned groups.
  • Counsel employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, discipline and/or terminations in line with local culture and the business and legal environment.
  • Drive employee engagement and satisfaction through promotion of a positive company culture while balancing employee concerns with all levels of company goals.
  • Lead long range staff planning processes including organizational design and effectiveness, talent assessment, performance management, leadership coaching and employee development.
  • Ensure effective talent management including recruitment, assessment and development as the organization grows both organically as well as through acquisition.
  • Manage the partnership with the talent acquisition center, including staffing coordination and job requisition management.
  • Advice and coach business leaders on management style, effectiveness and impact.
  • Keep current on relevant US, and state employment laws and other human resources compliance issues. Responsible for oversight and coordination of any regulatory requirements including OSHA compliance and Equal Employment Opportunity.
  • Support COE and large scale HR initiatives (i.e., roll out annual programs, new programs/policies, etc.)
  • Facilitate the performance management process and communicate results to appropriate stakeholders and recommend areas for improvement. .
  • Consult with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues.
  • Participate in company-wide programs and initiatives including: salary review, workforce planning, organizational change, on-boarding, job analysis, new hire and exit processes, selection, and performance, diversity and leadership initiatives.
  • Recommend new approaches, corrective actions, and updates to policies and procedures for continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Interact with other departments to improve internal processes and procedures.

How will you get there?

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • 8 years of experience and specialized knowledge of the Human Resources function
  • 2+ years manufacturing experience, pharma experience is a plus
  • General knowledge of the principles of Human Resource administration; knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of Human Resource management
  • Ability to influence and build strong collaborative relationships with site HR, site leadership and corporate HR leaders.
  • Experience in coaching, influencing, facilitation, process development, analysis and problem solving.
  • Effective in working with peers, business partners, and other colleagues – embracing different people and cultures to positively impact business performance and foster strong team work and inclusion.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills     
  • Ability to act independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Knowledgeable of employment law, organizational design, workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management
  • Strong business acumen (i.e., ability to understand key aspects of the company’s business strategy)
