For our global trade show operations team we are looking for you as a
Sr. Manager, Global Customer Engagement (m/f)
Region: Remote

Leading the evolution of our customer engagement strategy including events, tradeshows and digital experiences. You will report into the Sr. Director, Global Brand Marketing while partnering with agencies and internal colleagues to create and execute experiential global event experiences.

This role will be expected to deliver fully integrated customer engagements that generate demand, drive revenue and create a cohesive Brand experience at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

You will lead a team of event experts and work alongside division event teams to leverage global events as a channel to demonstrate our thought leadership, build interactive/digital customer experiences, and project our position as the world leader in serving science.
This role requires a visionary leader with laser focus on driving solutions and elevating customer experiences.

Your responsibilities:

Digital Experiences
  • Drive demand by creating a customer experience plan that delights and engages, building the brand and extending our reach through digital technology and content marketing.
  • Utilize omni-channel marketing to better segment, target and engage with customers for a richer experience.
ROI Tracking Management
  • Utilize data-driven marketing to provide total customer engagement (pre/post-show) to amplify brand awareness and leverage the full product portfolio by creating an environment that converts leads into sales.
  • Partner with the digital marketing team to drive integrated processes and automation tools to track/report on revenue generated from Marketing Qualified Leads.
  • Identify direct link from event to sales by utilizing analytics to measure the impact of the experience, optimize the demand generation and lead follow-up from events, and benchmarking event performance.
Brand Strategy
  • Build and execute an exceptional brand experience inclusive of brand guidelines, for global tradeshows, corporate events, roadshows and seminars with a focus on differentiating.
  • Drive long term experiential and event strategy, laddering recommendations to company leadership.
Develop BU Relationships and Management
  • Optimize operational model that will drive alignment across businesses for a clear focus on strategy, audience segmentation, digital marketing and messaging..
  • Establishes a strong relationship with teams across the organization and ensures follow-up of cross-functional responsibilities, audit and track the development of all product initiatives and ensures timely launches.
Your qualifications:
  • Master or bachelor degree in marketing, hospitality/and or event management, life sciences, communication, or related field preferred. CTSM or CMP a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience with tradeshow marketing, digital engagement, and program data capture and analytics.
  • Proficient at driving results and change in a cross-functional, complex matrix environment.
  • Skilled at developing partnership-style relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Master of problem-solving and engaging people to create solutions.
  • Proven success creating immersive digital/interactive experiences.
  • Adept at handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools, CRM’s, and other tradeshow planning tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to a number of internal and external finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to grasp complex ideas quickly and communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Fluent English and German (verbal and written), additional languages are beneficial.
