How will you make an impact?

The Onsite Service Engineer role will execute a support/service strategy while providing an exceptional customer experience through best practices and standard operating procedures at our customer site in Wilson, NC.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, qualification, and validation of laboratory and sample preparation instruments.
  • Track service calls, manage parts inventories, and complete job tasks using a customer’s management software
  • Analyzes review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
  • Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
  • Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
  • Develops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.
Support the Quality Management System by:
  • Development, maintenance and full adherence to departmental work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in fulfillment of the requirements of our Quality Management System and the expectations of our interested parties (internal / external).
  • Identify and report quality or compliance concerns to management and the quality function and take immediate actions to remedy.
  • Complete all planned or unplanned quality & compliance training requirements within defined deadlines
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4-Year BS degree in Science or Electronics or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years Field Service experience or 5+ years relevant Industry experience
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Certified service experience on four or more leading industry chromatography or mass spectroscopy products.
  • Demonstrated experience managing service territory, scheduling, and inventory.
Essential Functions:
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs without assistance 20% of the time.
  • Ability to lift, push and carry 25-30 lbs continuously throughout the day.
  • Ability to bend, squat, stretch, and reach on a daily basis in a service function.
  • Ability to drive/fly and/or travel overnight at a minimum of 50%.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
