Location/Division Specific Information:
This role will be remote based. The ideal candidate will reside in the Central NJ or Boston, MA market and will travel within this region, mostly (and outside of this region, minimally), as needed to client sites in the area (up to 50%).

What will you do?
  • Manage the overall operations of assigned accounts with responsibility for the consistent execution and achievement of program objectives across regional customer locations.
  • Develop and maintain positive and professional working relationships with customers, service vendors and Thermo Fisher staff.
  • Interact on a regular basis with client personnel and Thermo Fisher on-site staff regarding program operation, goals and successes, and instill customer confidence in our program and personnel
  • Provide leadership and management direction to assigned regional service organizations within Asset Management Services (AMS).
  • Helps create, coordinate and support all business unit goals and strategies such as business growth, improved margins, meeting customer satisfaction objectives, retaining existing accounts, operating within budget and enhancement of our marketplace reputation.
  • Establishes and implements short and long term plans for self and team to achieve key metrics.
  • Hiring, coaching, motivating, evaluating performance, and developing team members for future career growth.
  • Ensures that the best practices are leveraged throughout the organization.
  • Implement all site field service policies and procedures with regard to resource management, account maintenance, and service operations.
  • Lead and participate in Practical Process Improvement (PPI) project teams as identified to improve business performance.
  • Collaborate with other Thermo Fisher divisions to leverage capabilities and identify new business opportunities
  • Interacting with Brookfield Staff on issues of concern or disagreement with Site Staff.
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships.
  • As required, assist in the training of Thermo Fisher Asset Management site staff.
  • Work with Manager to develop and review PMDs and establish goals.
  • As required, approves direct reports expense reports and paid time off requests
  • Assist in the interviewing and hiring for site staff
  • Determines performance levels, provides performance reviews and recommends salary adjustments and bonus payouts.
  • Coordinates with site staff, sales, other divisions, customer, director client services and support staff in determining most cost effective approach to customer maintenance.
  • Negotiates on behalf of Thermo Fisher regarding service costs (with customers and vendors) as required.
  • Responsible for client satisfaction, account profitability and retention.
  • Mentor and develop dedicated Site Managers and Direct Service Engineers into customer advocates and business leaders.
  • Incorporate best practices across account sites to assure standardization, consistency in reporting and program delivery.
  • Work cooperatively with manager in developing new procedures and practices.
  • Develop positive working relationship across customer organization
  • Develop and operate within defined budgets
How will you get here?

Education:
  • Four year BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
  • Industry experience in one or more of the following areas: Life Sciences, Healthcare or related fields
  • 3+ years of successful supervisor or managerial experience of remote site staff
  • Preferred field service experience (technical) or strong service knowledge
  • Proven track record in managing/understanding a service business.
  • Proven track record of building high performing teams.
  • Experienced at setting goals and monitoring performance to goals
  • Experienced in achieving customer satisfaction and growing existing customer base
  • Must have a valid drivers license

  • Ability to promote and maintain strong customer relationships with superior customer management skills.
  • Responsible for achieving customer satisfaction in all aspects of services provided
  • Proven track record of continuously improving customer satisfaction through process improvements.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with variety of teams staff and customers.
  • Ability to interact with scientific/medical community
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Good Time Management and ability to prioritize work based on business needs
  • Ability to make commitments, track and communicate progress, and follow through until completion (project management skills)
  • Based on satisfaction surveys, develop action plans for improvement

    • Broad technical equipment and instrument knowledge.

  • Minimal direct supervision required
  • Enthusiastic/Positive attitude
  • Solid PC skills and ability to effectively use Windows based software
