Job Description

Perform high quality SEM/SDB product demonstrations, including the development of new techniques and applications.
Conduct customer training and translate customer needs into workable solutions.
Provide customer support and applications training while cultivating positive customer relationships.
Assist in applications development, explain complex technology details and provide in-depth technical presentations.
Provide feedback on system performance, features and potential problems.


PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics or related field of study. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of materials science or related experience or Master’s degree plus 3 year of experience as equivalent alternatives.

Must have experience or knowledge of:

Operate the SDB;
Operate the SEM;
Mount and prepare samples for imaging;
Optical systems;
Prepare TEM lamella for S/TEM inspection;
TEM knowledge;
Analyze samples using analytical techniques, such as EDS and EBSD; and
Software from third party vendors for analytical techniques.
