How will you make an impact?
This is a unique opportunity to join a senior level team of engineers at our San Jose, CA site. You will play a vital role in the design and development of analytical instrumentation within the Life Sciences Mass Spectrometry organization. Our products and instruments are used in the proteomics and metabolomics arena as well as having a real world impact on human health in areas such as water safety and food safety technology.
What will you do?
Work with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists designing high precision analog and low frequency RF systems for medical devices and scientific instruments
Apply these efforts to proof-of-concept experiments, product enhancements, and new product development
Collaborate with scientists, mechanical and electrical engineering teams in order to bring products to market
How will you get here?
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering
0-2 years of electrical engineering experience
Internships and/or involvement in projects that have provided a strong electrical engineering foundation
Good understanding of circuit design and debugging
Hands-on use and knowledge of circuit design and layout tools such as OrCAD- PSpice, Allegro
Experience in using lab equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscope, and function generator
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Interest in working with low frequency, high power RF
Ability to work in a medium volume production environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Windows, MS Office proficiency
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
Experience with scientific instrumentation and/or with a medical device company is a plus
Knowledge of RoHS requirements, CE and product safety regulatory standards
Development of products under a quality system that meets ISO13485 and FDA regulations is preferred
