Essential functions:

  • This individual is a partner to the customer through adoption and use of next-generation high throughput sequencing systems after installation.

  • Responsible for the provision of scientific application support and training on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) systems, thereby contributing substantially to customer satisfaction.

  • Responsible for providing support on Bioinformatics related queries from customers.

  • Support sales in the achievement of the order plan by strategic planning and delivery of product line specific post-sales related customer support activities in a timely and professional manner.
    Impacts service by joint escalation solving and technical coaching. Responsible for keeping up to date with product and state of the art scientific know how.

  • The position is field based, with incentive compensation on customer success and satisfaction metrics as well as efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist customers in designing and conducting experiments to initiate and validate the use of NGS system in their laboratories.
  • Provide initial training to customers at their own laboratories and at Life Technologies training locations.
  • Provide Bioinformatics support to customers.
  • Provide information to customers regarding applications and related products for the NGS systems, including kits, reagents, Bioinformatics and ancillary devices.
  • Provide technical and applications assistance in response to customer inquiries.
  • Plays major role when introducing and supporting new products and applications. Train support or other departments on new products and applications. Continuously updates scientific knowledge for support of customers, sales and service on the leading edge of technology. Communicates effectively within team to enhance others knowledge.

Qualifications & Requirement

  • Master’s degree or greater in life science required.
  • Extensive experience in an advanced technical support role
  • Extensive experience in Bioinformatics.
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques
  • Ability and willingness to travel (also internationally)
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Area of responsibility: Middle East
  • Computer and internet knowledge.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Has an approachable manner.
  • Sometimes work proceeded on evenings or weekends.

  • Area of responsibility: EMEA with focus Middle East.
  • Preferred location – Dubai.

  • Valid driving license.
  • Has an approachable manner.
  • Sometimes work proceeded on evenings or weekends.
