The Position
Key responsibilities include:
Work as Finance Business Partner to R&D Site Lead and R&D Managers
Work with local Finance Director (direct supervisor) to drive financial results of Brno Site
Work with WW R&D Controller (dotted line reporting) to align with WW R&D strategy, budget and reporting needs
Work includes:
- Participate in the Budgeting Activities to define the Goals of the R&D organization from Return on Investment point of view and cost efficiency perspective
- Prepare the Budget, Forecast, Actual and various Analyses to manage the spend of the whole R&D department in Brno Site (total spend over $24M)
- Manage the R&D Annual Capex
- Lead 1 Controller, set Annual Goals and manage the talent
- Prepare Financial Analyses for the R&D managers, participate in the financial/non-financial decisions
- Manage the Cost Monitoring Process to achieve better Gross Margin on the products family
- Cooperate with Accounting Team in the process of the financial close to achieve timely close of the books and reporting to the Corporation
- Cooperate with Operations Controller within Finance Team to manage the smooth transition of the R&D projects to the Manufacturing phase according to Product Management Process
- Identify applicable Subsidy programs in cooperation with external consultants, apply and manage the Subsidy programs to maximize the contribution to the cost base of R&D department
Participate on collaboration projects with external partners
Travel as necessary to fulfill job requirements (<25%)
