The manufacturing team at Thermo Fisher Scientific (Bedford) is responsible for manufacturing and testing chromatography media (large and small scale), disposable columns, and Performance Optimized Polymers and Chemiluminescence synthesis/formulations. We are seeking an energetic individual with strong communication, leadership, technical and operational skills to join our dynamic and fast paced team.
The Summer Internship position at Thermo Fisher Scientific (Bedford) is responsible for Support of Raw material risk mitigation projects along with process improvement and troubleshooting projects (business and/or technical processes) in the area of POROS chromatography resins, Chemilluminessence and POP polymers.
Potential Projects include:
- Process improvement and troubleshooting projects
- Run analytical assays and assist in the collection and analysis of test data
- Run bench scale chemistry to support risk mitigation projects
- Write documentations such as SOP, UOPS, IQ/OQs and validations.
Completion of a minimum of sophomore level courses in science or engineering. Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must. Some lab experience would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
This position supports multiple sites throughout Massachusetts so some travel may be required.
