Job Description

This is a great opportunity to drive science by doing business with scientists and bring cutting edge scientific technology to the market!

In this newly created role, you will be the primary driver of business development at major customer call points to develop and grow new and current business. You will be recognized as a technical leader and business development leader within the sales force that drives strategic objectives and adoption of new products.


Responsibilities

  • Selling and promoting the Protein Analysis and Synthetic Biology/Sample Preparation portfolio across a defined territory (Australasia)
  • Managing existing accounts and developing new business
  • Maximise the sales of the targeted products
  • Attend Trade Exhibitions as required to generate leads and prospects
  • Conduct customer specific promotions to encourage sales growth
  • Develop and execute technology seminars applicable to the account research focus
  • Constantly develop product knowledge through company literature and other independent sources of technical information
  • Obtain and report information of market trends, competitive promotions and other activities from the market that may aid the sales and marketing activity
  • Actively take part in internal product training and the external scientific community activities
  • Key Account Management

Requirements
Experience and Education
  • Educated as BSc. Level or above
  • At least two years sales experience preferred
  • A Master Degree or PhD in life sciences is highly desirable
  • At least three years’ experience in the Protein Analysis and Synthetic biology/Sample Preparation fields
