Cell Culture Plastics- Channel Business Development Specialist (EMEA)

The Cell Culture Plastics (CCP) Channel Business Development Specialist role is a product specialist who works specifically to support all Channel Partners across EMEA (or designated commercially sensible countries within). The role is designed to be CCP specific and channel agnostic. The broad geography requires significant travel. The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of the CPP portfolio and cell culture workflow. They will also have a good understanding of the multiple channel routes to market of these products. They will support all channels in their business development needs while maintaining the utmost professional ethics to ensure trust is maintained between ThermoFisher Scientific and our Channel Partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the achievement/overachievement of the sales target set by maintaining, identifying and developing sales opportunities in collaboration with Channel sales teams
  • Ensure that all necessary resources needed are used effectively in order to close sales in favour of the Company
  • Build and maintain relationships by face to face meetings, telephone and email with channels, customers and potential customers.
  • Deploy training and support mechanisms
  • Manage price negotiation with Channels and Business Unit
  • Manage, maintain and communicate on E Rebates and reports
  • Utilizes data sources to analyse and develop sales opportunities with the greatest ROI. Communicates key competitive activities, market trends, and changing customer needs, development plans and priorities
  • Support marketing programs and deploy to channels as appropriate
  • Provide a revenue forecast for the assigned territory and products by month to the Sales Manager

The Candidate:
  • Degree in Life Sciences or extensive experience in cell culture
  • Deep knowledge of the cell culture workflow and products used
  • Understanding of routes to market and Channel approach
  • Relevant sales experience preferably within Life Sciences
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal) at all levels of business
  • Proven track record in business development and complex negotiations
  • Willingness to travel extensively
