Role Summary

We are currently looking for an individual with strong business acumen, strategic thinking and project management skills. In this role you will be working with selected global / European industrial customers, driving the overall account management strategy. You will also be managing the business development for the industrial market segment in the DACH Region. We offer the opportunity to work in an international matrix environment for a distribution business with a large product portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for relationship (including senior level relationship coordination), strategy and overall account management at allocated large European, Global or strategic industrial customers.
  • Drive overall business strategy for developing industrial market segment in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in cooperation with our local sales teams.
  • Effectively communicate with sales teams and responsible for managing tactical execution of account and segment strategy, initiatives and sales plan.
  • Develop and maintain relationships at senior levels in customers, Fisher Scientific, Thermo Fisher Scientific and suppliers.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Segment-Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to support account and segment specific initiatives and contribute to the business forecasting and planning process.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (in a Science preferred); MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced strategic thinking, conceptualizing, selling, negotiating, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, maintain and grow senior-level customer relationships across multiple geographies and cultures.
  • Knowledge of the channels (distribution) business.
  • Strong leadership skills, especially in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated business acumen to understand executive level business drivers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and German.
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Travel to European customer locations 50- 60%.
