Position Summary:
The ServiceNow Quality Analyst has a passion for ensuring that the product the team delivers meets technical and customer expectations. He/she has a great attention to detail in test execution and contributes to biweekly sprints by reviewing code and optimizing for quality and user experience. The Quality Analyst develops automated test cases in the ServiceNow Automated Test framework where possible and alternatively develops manual test cases using HP ALM test software.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates code quality with a focus on excellence in user experience
  • Participates in the full development cycle, beginning with grooming the product backlog
  • Uncovers ambiguity in user stories, and provides feedback to business analyst, process owners, and platform owner
  • Develops the strategy for testing user stories and their integration into the platform
  • Participate in Javascript and Angular JS code reviews
  • Automates the Regression Testing of all new User Stories
  • Works with Process Owners and Development team to create new automated tests cases using ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework
  • Advocates for improving user experience, to promote an easier-to-use platform
  • Calls out development quality gaps and works with development team, development lead, architect, and platform owner to improve process and identify controls
  • Conduct extensive testing, analyze and interpret the results, adapt methodology.
  • Aggregate and present test results to development team, development lead, and platform owner
  • Collaborate with Developers on modifications to improve code quality
  • Converts manual test cases to automated test cases within the Automated Test Framework in ServiceNow
  • Leverages HP ALM or ServiceNow Test to execute manual test cases where Automated Test Framework gaps exist
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Project Management or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience acceptable
  • 1+ years ServiceNow experience
  • 2+ years of Quality assurance experience
  • Ability to translate details into specific tasks needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem
  • Ability to problem solve and work well in complex, ambiguous situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Proven ability to navigate the technology environment and work effectively with multiple groups
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and time management skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience
  • 1+ years ServiceNow experience
  • Familiarity with Agile development.
