The Position

Specific Deliverables associated with this opportunity include:

  • Work with the R&D project teams to manage planning BOMs, assisting engineers with change management.
  • Drive material readiness for all builds. Facilitate order placement and provide budget information to Program Managers.
  • Effectively communicate status, risks and influence change as representative in technical program Core Teams.
  • Actively participate in Change Control Board (CCB), providing input to change implementation plans
  • Create and maintain Firm work orders for critical manufactured items.
  • Release and deliver Work Orders to manufacturing on a daily basis.
  • Participate in daily stand up meetings and Gemba walks; provide timely feedback on all assigned actions.
  • Actively contribute to Lean meetings in the Logistics department.
  • Complete planning part setups within 3 days, per Service Level Agreement.
  • Review and update planning parameters on a quarterly basis.
  • Lead or significantly contribute to cross-functional improvement efforts.
  • Suggest potential system improvements to Logistics Program Manager and/or IT.

The Requirements

This position is ideal for a self-motivated Logistics professional with Production Planning experience, looking for an opportunity to grow and advance. The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 5+ years of experience in Logistics, production planning, or similar roles.
  • Knowledge of MRP systems, including forecasts, Bills of Material, lot sizes, and lead times.
  • General understanding of manufacturing capacity constraints (labor and equipment).
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and suggest the best course of action.
  • Familiarity with fully integrated ERP systems (QAD MFGPro experience is a plus).
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fully competent in all Microsoft Office products.
